Rigeto Unternehmerkapital, a German growth financing firm, took a majority stake in land-based shrimp producer Crusta Nova to accelerate digitization, expand its product ranges and enter new target markets.
Rigeto invests private assets of entrepreneurs in medium-sized companies. It has over 20 transactions since it was founded in 2013.
Starting out as an idea and a small fish tank in a bedroom in 2012, Crusta Nova is now the market leader for fresh shrimp in Germany and Austria, with a modest revenue of around €5 million ($6 million).
