German frozen giant Frosta is being forced to pass on increased costs to consumers as global supply chains remained in chaos during the first half of 2021.

Although the Frosta brand continued to outperform, reporting a 13.8 percent growth in the German market during the period, the company’s private label business declined “sharply,” it said.

“Loss-making contracts were particularly prevalent against the backdrop of the global development of the raw material markets,” said the company.
