Fortune International, a leading supplier of seafood, said Thursday it is acquiring the St. Louis and Kansas City operations of Morey's Seafood International, a Minnesota-based branded seafood company.
The purchase involves only the St. Louis and Kansas City operations of Morey’s and does not include its Minnesota-based manufacturing or distribution operations.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed and the acquisition is schedule to close April 1.
The acquisition will expand Fortune International’s Fortune Fish & Gourmet brand with additional processing and distribution facilities, which will allow it to increase its service level and footprint in the current market, the company said.
