Private equity fund Paine Schwartz Partners, the former owners of Icicle Seafoods, announced Monday it acquired a 50 percent stake in Hendrix Genetics, the owner of Kona Bay, Troutlodge and Landcatch among others.
Paine Schwartz and its affiliated co-investors will purchase a 50 percent stake in the company while Hendrix Genetics’ co-founders, Thijs Hendrix and Antoon van den Berg, will hold onto the other 50 percent.
Paine Schwartz will invest through its Food Chain Fund V.
