Scotland-based processor Northbay Pelagic returned to profit in 2019, after reporting a series of years in the red following a devastating fire at one of its plants in 2015.

The company -- whose principal business is the wholesale supply of pelagic fish to both domestic and overseas markets -- posted an operating profit of £333,639 (€367,563/$431,892) for the year, a significant turnaround from the loss of £321,161 (€353,817/$415,740) the year prior.
