Finnish processing giant Kalaneuvos and rainbow trout farmer Nordic Trout have acquired Estonian fish farming and processing company Heimon Kala.
“We want to consolidate the supply of Finnish fish feedstock and boost the export of fish products,” sad Veijo Hukkanen, chairman of the board at Kalaneuvos and Nordic Trout.
Kalaneuvos and Nordic Trout are both owned by the Finnish Hukkanen family.
Heimon Kala, which originally was Finnish-owned, has been under Estonian ownership for a long time, the latest owner being Tallin-listed AS PRFoods.
