Russian Aquaculture, Russia’s largest salmon farming company, posted a sharp increase in earnings and sales in 2021, driven by a surge in harvest volumes.

The company’s harvests jumped 79 percent compared to the previous year to reach 27,800 metric tons, including 14,300 metric tons of farmed salmon and 1,200 metric tons of trout.

This drove an 80 percent boost in sales volumes to 27,900 metric tons, and a revenue increase of 91 percent to RUB15.9 billion (€187.9 million/$213.4 million).

Russian Aquaculture farms fish in the Barents Sea in the Murmansk region, as well as in the lakes of Karelia.
