Dutch fish and shrimp trader Tel, located in IJmuiden, has snapped up a strategic stake in competitor Hoogendijk Import Export BV, with CEO Jaap Hoogendijk selling his shares in the company, reportsVlaardingen24.
Jaap Hoogendijk, who led the family-run business in the 10th generation, will consequently step down in the course of this year.
Commercial manager Leo Hattenbach has increased his stake in the company, and will take over the role as CEO.
Hoogendijk imports frozen fish and fish products from all all over the world, supplying wholesalers in almost all European countries.
