Danish fresh mussels producer Wittrup Seafood reported a "satisfactory" result last year in a recently filed earnings report.

The company, which invested in a new processing facility in the harbor of Horsens in 2015, reported a net profit of DKK 176,623 (€23,761/$25,186) for the year, up from DKK 2,402 (€323.10/$342.50) in the previous one.

Earnings before depreciation, taxes and amortization (EBITDA) jumped from DKK 5,923 (€796.80/$844.60) to DKK 3.7 million (€497,754/$527,609) year-on-year.
