Norwegian seafood exporter Coast Seafood has taken full ownership of salmon and trout processor Sotra Fiskeindustri.

Coast Seafood previously owned 23 percent of the processing company and has worked closely with the firm for more than 20 years.

"Coast Seafood has been a solid and long-term owner in Sotra Fiskeindustri for many years, and buying out the other owners now is a natural next step," said Knut Inge Sylta, chairman of the board of Sotra Fiskeindustri.

The purchase price was not disclosed.

In 2019, Sotra Fiskeindustri had revenues of NOK 457 million (€45.5 million/$53.3 million) and an operating profit of NOK 9.7 million (€964,933/$1.1 million).
