Australian yellowtail kingfish producer Clean Seas Seafood reported strong sales in the fourth quarter as lockdowns across the globe started to ease, but has yet to reach profitability.

The Australia and Norway-listed company reported revenue of AUD 48.5 million (€30 million/$35.7 million) during the fourth quarter of 2021, a 20 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

But revenue per kilogram declined by 8 percent versus 2020, partly due to a shift toward retail.

Sales volumes reached 861 metric tons during the fourth quarter this year, more than doubling the 412 metric tons sold during the same quarter in 2020.
