London-listed Chinese seafood processor Aquatic Foods Group continued to feel the pressure from a "challenging" market into the first quarter of the year, after seeing lower earnings already in 2016.
The group's revenues in the first three months of the year amounted to CNY 216 million (€27.9 million/$31.3 million), slightly rising from CNY 214.8 million (€27.7 million/$31.2 million) last year. Volumes sold amounted to 5.1 million metric tons, which was stable from the first quarter of 2016.
Sales of fish products accounted for approximately 66 percnet of the group's revenue in the quarter, or 81 percent of its sales volume.
