The Chinese government has stepped up its retaliation against the latest tariff increase announced by US President Donald Trump by announcing additional tariffs of between 5 percent and 10 percent on US imports worth $75 billion (€67.6 billion).

“On August 15, the US government announced that it would impose a 10 percent tariff on approximately $300 billion (€270.5 billion) of goods imported from China, which will be implemented in two batches from September 1 and December 15, 2019,” said the Chinese government.
