Nova Austral saw earnings stuck in the red for the first quarter of 2020, with higher revenues failing to make up for logistical costs as the company was forced into the fresh retail market.

Earnings before interest, tax, demortization and amortization (EBITDA) after fair value adjustment were down substantially, at a loss of $4.1 million (€3.6 million), down from the $8.9 million (€7.9 million) profit last year.

This came despite a 65 percent hike in operational revenue on increased volumes.
