Chicken of the Sea International (COSI) has been dismissed as a defendant from a lawsuit against the country's big three tuna producers for conspiracy to fix prices of shelf-stable packaged tuna products.

A California federal court removed COSI from the lawsuit on Tuesday, according to court documents. Tri-Union Seafoods and Thai Union Group were also included as part of the COSI dismissal.

A list of retailers that include Kmart, Associated Grocers and Family Dollar agreed to what the court documents describe as a "voluntary dismissal."
