Chilean salmon farming and fishing giant Camanchaca posted a 48 percent first quarter increase in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) to $21 million (€19.3 million).

Total revenues, including for the company's combined salmon farming, fishing and mussel production operations, rose 13 percent to $149.1 million (€137.2 million).

Numbers were lifted by a near 10 percent increase in fishing revenues, a 13 percent rise in salmon revenues and a 27 percent increase from the mussel producing division.
