Norwegian salmon farmer Midt-Norsk Havbruk harvested "somewhat less than planned" fish in the fourth quarter of 2018, but managed to increase earnings per kilo by 58 percent.

Earnings before interest and tax came in at NOK 13.58 (€1.40/$1.60) per kilo, and increase of NOK 5.01 (€0.52/$0.58) on the previous quarter, largely due to better fish health and higher salmon prices.

The company posted turnover for the quarter of NOK 179.9 million (€18.5 million/$20.9 million) and harvested 3,216 metric tons of fish.
