Brazilian protein processing heavyweight JBS officially completed its 100 percent takeover of Australian salmon farmer Huon on Wednesday, with the latter delisting from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

The sale of the company was approved by Huon shareholders on Oct. 29 and the Federal Court of Australia on Nov. 3.

JBS Aquaculture Pty Ltd (JBS) now holds 100 percent of the shares, which it acquired for AUD 3.85 (€2.35/$2.75) per share.

Founder and former CEO Peter Bender, his wife, Frances, Neil Kearney, Simon Lester and Tony Dynon have now resigned as directors of Huon.
