Land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire more than doubled its losses on adjusted earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in 2021 as the company ramped up production.

Atlantic Sapphire, which produces fish at its Miami-based Bluehouse salmon farming facility, reported an $83.9 million (€77.6 million) adjusted EBITDA loss last year, widening from $30.3 million (€28 million) in 2020.
