Atlantic Sapphire CEO Johan Andreassen bought 15,000 company shares worth nearly NOK1.4 million (€133,104/$148,145) on Monday, the day the company's share price dropped sharply after a mass mortality incident in Denmark.

The move lifts Andreassen's stake in the company to 1.5 percent, in addition to 13 percent owned through through Alsco, a company owned with Bjorn Vegard Lovik.

Atlantic Sapphire Denmark experienced the mortality event in one of its grow-out systems on Saturday, pushing next harvest revenue back by about four months with preliminary analysis, indicating higher nitrogen levels than desired as the cause.
