Aquaculture biotechnology firm Benchmark raised £6.6 million (€7.7 million/$8.5 million) through an open offer announced on Jan. 30 to support the launch of its new products.
“We are pleased to have raised the full amount envisaged under the open offer," said Benchmark Executive Chairman Peter George.
The proceeds will in part be used to scale up Benchmark's CleanTreat system, which removes medicinal residues from treatment water as it prepares to launch BMK08, a new medicinal treatment to combat sea lice in salmon farming.
