Agrosuper-owned AquaChile has completed the sale of its Costa Rican tilapia operation, Rainforest Tilapia, to central American whitefish farmer and wild-catch exporter Martec for a total of $6 million (€5.4 million), first reported in November last year.
AquaChile said the deal was finalized on March 31.
Martec paid $6 million (€5.4 million) to acquire Rainforest Tilapia. The price includes an initially agreed to amount of $5.4 million (€4.9 million) plus a post-closing price adjustment of $600,000 (€542,369).
