Aquaculture investment fund Aqua-Spark announced its investment in XpertSea, a Canadian, female-led tech company focused on "making aquaculture more profitable and sustainable."
Together with two other funds -- Obvious Ventures and Real Ventures -- it will plow CAD 10 million (€6.4 million/$8 million) into the firm.
XpertSea said it "solves" a technology gap in the aquaculture industry , allowing farms and hatcheries to "track and manage their aquatic populations with greater speed, accuracy and insight than ever before."
