Angulas Aguinaga acquired Spanish octopus producer and distributor Viveros Merimar as part of its 2020 strategic plan, the company said.
With the acquisition the company expects to increase turnover to €200 million ($233.7 million).
Angulas Aguinaga, which sells seafood and surimi products under the La Gula, Krissia and Aguinamar brands, acquired the octopus producer, which owns the brands Meripul and Merimar.
