Leroy Seafood Group delivered beyond expectations in its first quarter, according to consensus from Norway-based analysts of the group following last week's remarkable earnings report.

The Oslo-listed group more than doubled its first quarter operating profit, reporting the highest revenue and earnings in its history, mainly on the back of high salmon prices.

"Wild fish [Havfisk] also delivered better results than expected, due to record prices and catches," said Nordea Markets Analyst Kolbjorn Giskeodegaard.
