Tuna giant Thai Union (TU) is likely to set aside as much as $50 million (€42.7 million) to cover settlements related to various antitrust lawsuits in the United States involving its subsidiary Tri-Union Seafoods, or Chicken of the Sea International (COSI), according to Prasit Sujiravorakul, an analyst at Bualuang Securities.

Last week, COSI announced that it reached an agreement with Walmart, the largest retailer of canned tuna in the US market, to settle antitrust claims.
