Akva's land-based subsidiary inked an engineering and design contract Thursday with Swedish firm Premium Svensk Lax (PSL), which was recently granted permission to produce 10,000 metric tons of land-based salmon in Varmland, Sweden.
The project received the go-ahead from Sweden's environmental assessment authority in Orebro in September and can now begin construction, with plans for completion in 2024.
