Aquaculture technology provider Akva Group acquired 33.7 percent in UK-based Observe Technologies, the company behind an artificial intelligence (AI)-backed feeding system.

The acquisition will boost Akva's digital strategy as the two companies leverage their complementary technologies, the company said.

Observe initially partnered with Akva in 2019 and has since sold the AI feeding solution to more than 20 farm sites in five different countries.
