Global plant-based food brand Wicked Foods, the parent company of Good Catch plant-based seafood products in North America, has nabbed $20 million (€21 million) in investments from funders that include Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson, according to the company.
Other investors include Ahimsa VC, a fund that says it invests in sustainable alternatives to animal agriculture in the food and materials industries. Thailand plant-based food production company Nutra Regenerative Protein Limited (NRPT) is also listed as an investor.
The company will use the funds to "further ramp up global brand awareness initiatives and expand retail distribution and other channels to include foodservice," it said.
