Denmark-based feed company Aller Aqua offered its Ukrainian workers the chance to evacuate to its Polish facility, out of the path of Russia's invasion, but they turned down the offer, deciding instead to stay and defend their country.
All eleven employees are safe but understandably nervous, Aller Aqua Group Vice President Henrik Halken told IntraFish.
“Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people," Halken said. "We are going through a very sad part of Europe’s history now."
