Nutreco-owned aquaculture feed giant Skretting is partnering with Aqua-Spark-backed biotechnology company Proteon Pharmaceuticals as part of the group's efforts to tackle health challenges in the aquaculture industry.
The two companies will collaborate on a research and development (R&D) pipeline for about four to five years before Skretting rolls out products combatting pathogenic bacteria, which the groups hope will help reduce antibiotic usage in the aquaculture industry.
