Seafood viewed as more sustainable

Co-op's Fisheries and Aquaculture Manager Aisla Jones noted aquaculture is having more conversations around feed sustainability, a lot more than protein producers in terrestrial sectors. “I think people are starting to look at fish and are seeing it as a more sustainable protein," she said.

Climate change discussions that have ramped up in recent years have focused on meat and dairy. “Seafood is something people are turning to if people want to eat sustainable protein.”
