Last year was a challenging year for many, and Denmark-based feed giant BioMar was no exception.

The year was plagued by the war in Ukraine, high energy costs, spotty raw material availability and inflation.

For BioMar, the first part of the year was dominated by its decision to step out of the Russian market following Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

BioMar operates 17 feed factories across the world in Norway, Chile, Denmark, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, China, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Australia -- a broad footprint that comes with its own unique challenges during economic turbulence.
