Peruvian fishmeal giant Pesquera Diamante is labeling an investigation into alleged quota fixing as a "political move" orchestrated by the government.
This comes after anti-corruption prosecutor Yudith Villegas Espinoza last week ordered the provincial criminal prosecutor of Callao to launch an investigation into Pesquera Diamante and three other fishing companies Exalmar, CFG Investment and Tecnologica de Alimentos (TASA), as well as four officials from maritime Institute (Imarpe).
