One of the most pressing challenges for feed giant Cargill is identifying a site to produce recirculating aquaculture system (RAS)-specific diets with enough capacity to meet growing demand -- if and when it happens.

"The challenge is where do you site a facility that is able to serve plenty of the locations and still be cost-effective from a transportation standpoint," Cargill Aqua Nutrition Regional Managing Director Dan Burke told IntraFish.
