Global feed giant BioMar and Icelandic fishing firm Sildarvinnslan have unveiled plans to build a net-zero aquafeed plant in Iceland.
Once completed, BioMar said it will become the only global feed company in the Icelandic market.
“As part of our strategy, above and beyond, we are committed to expanding our business to new geographies and demonstrating our sustainability ambitions," BioMar CEO Carlos Diaz said.
