Efforts to get control of a major COVID-19 outbreak that closed its Akutan, Alaska, processing plant on Jan. 21, are working, Trident Seafoods said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The company said at the time of the closure that the facility would remain shuttered for three weeks.

Although Trident did not specify on Wednesday when the plant would reopen it said its three-week target for reopening remains in place and that it is confident "the crisis will soon be behind it."
