Nippon Suisan Kaisha (Nissui)-owned Alaska processing group UniSea's Unalaska plant remains under partial lockdown after four employees of the processing plant tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 5.

In a statement sent to IntraFish Tuesday, the company said that "after interviewing the individuals who tested positive, it was determined that all had attended a small New Year’s Eve gathering involving family members and a few close friends."

Working with the Iliuliuk Family & Health Services (IFHS), several more individuals that could have been impacted by the event were tested.
