Mitsubishi-owned canned seafood giant Princes continues to be blighted by COVID-19 outbreaks, reporting a total of 218 workers at its operation in Mauritius testing positive for the virus since July 4.

While the company’s Marine Road site is operating normally, the Riche Terre site has halted production due to the latest outbreak.

The development follows an earlier outbreak in June, when the company temporary closed the two plants in Mauritius following a similar COVID-19 outbreak among its workers.
