Ecuador's Ambassador to the United Nations Luis Gallegos claimed Tuesday the problem the country has been facing in regards to shrimp exports to China, has now been resolved.

Last Friday China suspended shrimp imports from three Ecuadorian producers after traces of COVID-19 were found on the packaging.

"The immediate response to the letter from President Lenín Moreno and the holding of two bilateral meetings of Minister Iván Ontaneda with his Chinese counterpart, ensure that this impasse has been overcome," Gallegos said.
