China has lifted a suspension on the importation of shrimp from Ecuadorian exporter Empacadora del Pacifico (EdPacif), Ecuador's Foreign Relations Ministry said Saturday on Twitter.
On Aug 10. a similar suspension was lifted on Ecuador's largest shrimp exporter Santa Priscila and then on Empacreci two days later.
Between them, the three producers combined account for 27 percent of Ecuadorian shrimp exports to China.
Sanctions were removed after confirmation of compliance with Chinese biosecurity standards and following almost daily talks.
