Cooke Aquaculture Pacific Permit Coordinator Kevin Bright testified to a Washington court earlier this month it would be impossible and potentially dangerous for company staff to harvest its remaining fish pens in Washington state by Jan. 14 of 2023 and completely remove all equipment by April of next year as well.

"Dramatic and forced changes to the scheduled production and harvesting plans can create extraordinary farm staffing and safety concerns in addition to negative disruptions for our customers and seafood markets," he said.
