Norway is well ahead of competitors in aquaculture feeding technologies, the latest trend -- which is not well implemented in other salmon producing countries such as Chile -- is to centralize feeding operations in one office located far from the farming sites.
The idea is to have experts focusing only on salmon feeding patterns around the clock, to specialize in this area and be able to anticipate the fish appetite with the input of data collected through outside camera domes, inside flexible cameras, temperature and oxygen sensors.
