USFDA approves catfish antibiotic

THE US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last month gave approval to Schering-Plough to begin marketing Aquaflor (florfenicol) for the control of mortality in catfish due to enteric septicemia (ESC) of catfish associated with Edwardsiella ictaluri.
