US-based recirculated aquaculture system (RAS) company Global Blue Technologies won a contract for the construction of a multi-million-dollar shrimp farming project in Qatar.
The company, in partnership with Qatar’s ITQAN were awarded the project following a selection process that lasted nearly two years.
The first phase of the project will include the construction of a hatchery, and shrimp production modules to produce 3,000 metric tons of shrimp a year, and a broodstock multiplication center with a capacity to raise 100,000 broodstock.
