Political uncertainty aside, Turkey’s seabream and seabass industry is stable and is expected to remain that way for the time-being before it reawakens, officials at companies in Izmir, the country’s hub for seafood production, told IntraFish.
Turkish firms have a large share in European markets in both fresh and frozen seafood, despite regulatory challenges and disadvantages against other big producers within the bloc, such as Greece.
