African tilapia farmer Lake Harvest Group has appointed Atle Eide, former SalMar chairman CEO of the group that would eventually become Mowi, as chairman.

Eide already holds several positions in and outside the seafood industry, including serving as a board member for The Norwegian Seafood Federation, Benchmark Holding and seafood research group Kontali.

He also serves as board chairman at Scale AQ and SalMar Aker Ocean.

Eide has previously served as CEO at Skretting Nordic, Hydro Seafood, Kverneland Group and Marine Harvest, now Mowi, the world’s largest salmon producer.
