Thai seafood giants Thai Union and Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) were awarded at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Awards 2019, with Thai Union nabbing the award for "Best Sustainability Excellence" and CPF recognized as "Highly Commended in Sustainability."
Both companies also made it into the Thailand Sustainability Investment Index (THSI).
“When we decided to put sustainability at the heart of the Thai Union business, we did so with the knowledge that we needed to also take a true leadership position in this area,” said Thai Union CEO Thiraphong Chansiri, citing that the company wants to "lead by example."
