Swedish green energy firm Vattenfall inked a letter of intent with Sweden's Quality Salmon on July 14 to support the construction of its blue-green industrial park for land-based salmon farming in Sotenas.

Vattenfall will build, own and manage the industrial park's electricity function through its 'Power as a Service' solution, which will include a photovoltaic plant, energy storage and charging solutions.

The partnership will help Quality Salmon optimize its energy use and storage, aiming for zero emissions and a positive carbon footprint.

Quality Salmon will continue to present the industrial park's partners over the next two months.
