Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) on Dec. 5 notified the Norwegian Food Safety Authority of the possibility of an infectious salmon anemia (ISA) outbreak at its Lille Kufjord site in Alta muncipality.
In order to prevent the spread of infection, the site is subject to restrictions, including a ban on moving fish without permission from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
If suspicions are confirmed, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority will order a clearing of the site.
